Understanding the audit trail system
What is Activity Logging?
DMARC Busta maintains a complete audit trail of every action taken on your domains and email sources. This logging system helps you:
- Track changes - See who did what and when
- Demonstrate compliance - Provide audit trails for security reviews
- Generate reports - Create MSP reports showing value delivered
- Troubleshoot issues - Understand what changed when problems occur
Where to Find Activity Logs
Activity logs appear in several places throughout the application:
Domain Dashboard
Shows recent actions for the specific domain you're viewing.
MSP Reports
Detailed activity log with filters, ideal for client-facing reports. Navigate to Reports → MSP Reports in the sidebar.
Autopilot Actions Log
When Autopilot is enabled, view all automated decisions at Domain → Autopilot → Actions Log.
Log Retention
Activity logs are retained indefinitely by default. For large installations, logs older than 1 year can be archived to maintain performance.
