Readiness Checks

Before progressing to a stricter DMARC policy, DMARC Busta verifies that your domain meets safety thresholds. These checks prevent you from accidentally blocking legitimate email.

Metrics Checked

Metric For Quarantine For Reject
DMARC Pass Rate 95%+ 99%+
Minimum Volume 1,000+ messages in monitoring period
Monitoring Period 30 days at current policy level

Volume-Based Progression

DMARC Busta uses intelligent volume classification to determine progression speed. Low-volume domains (under 500 emails/month) can reach p=reject in as little as 14 days, while high-volume domains (50,000+/month) use a more conservative 90-day timeline.

Common Blockers

If you're not ready to progress, you might see these blockers:

SPF coverage too low

Approve more legitimate sources on the SPF Management page

Too many new sources

Wait for sources to stabilize or review and approve them

DKIM not configured

Enable DKIM signing in your email service provider
