Everything on the domain overview tab explained
Domain Overview
The Overview tab is your domain's dashboard — a single page that shows a snapshot of everything happening with this domain's email authentication. Each panel links through to the relevant detail page where you can take action.
Setup Status
The Setup Status panel shows a score from 0 to 100 and individual indicators for SPF, DMARC, and DKIM. Each protocol is shown as green (configured), yellow (partial), or red (not configured), along with a label indicating whether the record is Managed, Unmanaged, or External.
- Managed — DMARC Busta controls this record via delegation or a connected DNS provider
- Unmanaged — the record exists but must be edited manually in your DNS provider
- External — managed by a third-party tool; DMARC Busta monitors but does not modify it
Email Compliance
A progress bar showing your overall DMARC pass rate as a percentage. This is the proportion of email sent from your domain that passes either SPF or DKIM authentication with alignment. Higher is better — aim for 95%+ before progressing your DMARC policy.
Pending Actions
A list of actions waiting for your attention. Common pending actions include:
- Verify domain ownership
- Configure DMARC record
- Set up SPF delegation
- Approve pending email sources
- Fix authentication failures
Each action links directly to the page where you can resolve it.
Autopilot Widget
Shows the current Autopilot status for this domain — whether it is enabled, paused, or disabled. When active, it displays the current stage (e.g., "Source Approval", "DMARC Progression") and a summary of recent AI actions taken on your behalf.
DMARC Progression Status
Displays the current DMARC policy level (none, quarantine, or reject) and the progression
percentage. When the domain reaches p=reject at 100%, this panel shows
"Maximum Protection Achieved." If progression is active, it shows the monitoring period
countdown and compliance status.
Email Intelligence
A 30-day summary of your domain's email activity:

| Total Emails | Number of emails reported by DMARC aggregate reports in the last 30 days |
| Pass Rate | Percentage of those emails that passed DMARC authentication |
| Failed Count | Number of emails that failed both SPF and DKIM |
| Email Sources | Total distinct sending sources detected |
| Top Sources | Breakdown of the highest-volume senders with their pass rates |
Recent Scans
The last 5 DNS scans for this domain, showing the date, overall score, and status of each scan. Scans run automatically and check for SPF, DMARC, and DKIM record validity.
Recent Issues
A list of open and recently fixed issues detected by security scanning. Each issue shows its severity (critical, high, medium, low) and current status (open or fixed). Click an issue to see details and recommended fixes.
Recent DNS Changes
A log of DNS modifications made in the last 30 days — both automated changes by DMARC Busta and manual changes detected by scanning. Useful for auditing what changed and when.
