SPF Management

The SPF Management page is where you control which email sources are authorized to send on behalf of your domain. It combines AI-powered analysis with manual controls to build and maintain your SPF record.

SPF Record Status Bar

At the top of the page, the status bar shows:

• Current SPF record — the live TXT record published in DNS
• Delegation status — whether SPF delegation is active (DMARC Busta manages your record) or inactive (manual editing required)
• Lookup count — current number of DNS lookups in your SPF record (must stay under 10)

AI Insights

A summary panel showing AI analysis of your email sources: average confidence score across pending sources, total sources analyzed, how many are ready to approve, anomalies detected, and your current SPF lookup count. Use this as a quick health check before diving in.

Decision Queue

The prioritized list of email sources needing your attention. Sources are categorized as Ready to Approve, On Watchlist, Needs Review, or Suspected Threat. For each source you can Approve (add to SPF), Monitor (watch for 7 days), or Reject (block from SPF).

Sources Table

The complete list of all detected email sources with columns for service name, volume, SPF/DKIM/DMARC pass rates, AI confidence score, first/last seen dates, the Include in SPF checkbox, and current status. Sort and filter to focus on what matters most.

AI Automation Tab

Controls for AI-powered source auto-approval. When Autopilot is active, this tab shows a purple "Managed by Autopilot" badge. When Autopilot is off, a toggle lets you independently enable or disable AI auto-approval of high-confidence sources.

Auto-Repair Tab

Shows a preview of automated SPF fixes that the system can apply. This includes removing stale sources, consolidating IPs into include directives, fixing circular references, and resolving duplicate mechanisms.

Activity Tab

A chronological history of all SPF changes — source approvals, rejections, auto-repairs, record updates, and delegation changes. Useful for auditing what changed and when.

SPF Record Preview

Shows what your managed SPF record currently looks like, including all approved include directives and IP mechanisms. This is the record that gets published when delegation is active. Changes to source inclusion are reflected here in real time.
