DNS Providers Page Guide
Connecting providers, importing domains, and managing credentials
DNS Providers
Connecting a DNS provider allows DMARC Busta to read and write DNS records on your behalf. This enables automatic SPF, DMARC, and DKIM management without manual DNS editing.
Connected Providers
The table shows all connected provider accounts with the provider type, account name, number of domains managed, connection status, and available actions (edit, test, disconnect).
Connecting a New Provider
- Click Connect New Provider.
- Select the provider type.
- Enter the required credentials (see below).
- Click Test Connection to verify the credentials work.
- Save the provider once the test passes.
Supported Providers
| Provider | Credentials Required |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | API Token (recommended) or Email + Global API Key. The token needs DNS edit permissions for the relevant zones. |
| AWS Route 53 | Access Key ID + Secret Access Key. The IAM user needs Route53 permissions (route53:ChangeResourceRecordSets, route53:ListHostedZones, etc.). |
| cPanel / WHM | Server hostname + WHM API token. The account must have DNS zone editing privileges. |
Importing Domains
After connecting a provider, use the Import Domains flow to pull in all domains managed by that provider. Imported domains are automatically linked to the provider for DNS management.
Per-Provider Capabilities
All providers support reading and writing TXT records (SPF, DMARC, DKIM). Cloudflare additionally supports proxy management and CNAME flattening awareness. Route 53 supports alias records. cPanel/WHM uses the UAPI for zone editing.
Editing & Disconnecting
- Edit — Update credentials or account name. Re-test the connection after changes.
- Disconnect — Removes the provider link. Existing DNS records are not deleted, but DMARC Busta can no longer make automated changes for domains using this provider.
Tip
Connecting a DNS provider enables automatic DNS management — SPF, DMARC, and DKIM records are updated without manual DNS editing. This is essential for Autopilot to function fully.
